When you try to print documents, do you get that "Out of Memory" or "Print document Later" ERROR?
Want to run a program and get that extra 400 to 700k of extra memory?
Well, I have come up with a way to quit all running applications and launch your selected applications with out fragmenting memory. You might need that extra few hundred kilobytes for printing. I know my computer does.
Just drop any application onto the Killer icon and quit events will be dispatched to all running processes (applications). After the other processes are dead and gone, the Killer Sidekick will be launched and will tell the Killer to quit. I use the Sidekick application because the original Killer will be fragmenting memory. Where as, the Killer Sidekick should be running at the highest free location in memory(Usually where the Finder application was). Then, the Killer Sidekick, will launch your dragged applications and desk accessories. For easy access, put an alias of the Killer on your desktop.
As an added bonus, the Killer Sidekick application will show a map of your machines memory, and where all running programs reside in memory. You can use this map to determine if memory is fragmented.
